Hotel Jugoslavija sold for initial price: Here's who bought it and what they got for their money
Public bidding was held at noon
A public bidding for its sale was held today at noon to sell Hotel Jugoslavija (Yugoslavia). The initial price was 3.17 billion dinars (27 million euros), and the hotel was sold for that amount.
With the sale, the buyer acquires 100 percent of the share. A commission established the identity of the applicant and only one entity was participating in the bidding. That entity is MV Investment, based in Belgrade.
For that reason, this auction was specific, and the commission invited the participant to accept the starting price - 3.17 billion. The sole participant did, and thus Hotel Jugoslavija was sold.
The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency (ALSU) announced on February 20 that 100 percent of the bankrupt "Danube Riverside" company was up for sale. The agency owned only the hotel, the estimated value of which was 6.35 billion dinars, equivalent to 53.8 million euros.
What was for sale?
1. Hotel Jugoslavija;
2. Building plot KP 2442/1 Zemun sized 45,613 square meters, area of land under buildings sized 13,981 m2, area of land next to buildings (31,632 m2), property rights, private ownership, land rights: DANUBE RIVERSIDE DOO, in bankruptcy procedure; MV Investment doo Belgrade
3. Other property owned by the bankrupt debtor, consisting of chandeliers and a bust, a sculpture, the work of Aleksandar Zarin
Also, the legal demarcation has not been carried out, nor the physical division of the land, so the assessment of the value of the property was made under a special assumption.
