No one was injured, nor did the student threaten anyone
A police officer assigned to the Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School in Belgrade - where mass shooting committed by a student took place last spring, resulting in the deaths of 9 children and a guard - was informed this morning that an 8th-grader had a knife in his backpack.
The student was immediately located and taken to the headmaster.
The student said the knife found in his backpack was not his.
No one was injured, nor did the the boy threaten anyone.
All students at Vladislav Ribnikar Primary School are safe.
Further investigative work is in progress.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs says that the presence of police officers in schools and cooperation with students and school employees is crucial in preventing possible incidents and ensuring the safety of children.
