Ukrainian citizens O.S. (49) and O.K. (39) have been arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of money laundering.

At the Gradina border crossing between Serbia and Bulgaria, the police examined a Mercedes in which the suspects were traveling and found 77,950 euros and 185,500 US dollars hidden under a car seat.
It is suspected that the pair knew the cash originated from criminal activity.
The suspects are detained for up to 48 hours and will afterwards be brought before the competent prosecutor's office along with a criminal complaint.
