Putin decorates former BIA chief Aleksandar Vulin with high award: He received the Order of Friendship

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has awarded the former director of the Serbian Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) Aleksandar Vulin with a high award - the Order of Friendship, for his great personal contribution to the development and improvement of cooperation between the BIA and the SVR in the field of state security and protection of national interests of Serbia and Russia.
The envoy of the president of the Russian Federation, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, presented Aleksandar Vulin with the Order of Friendship awarded to him by President Putin in a ceremony at the SVR HQ in Moscow.
In his address, Director Naryshkin stated that the high award to Aleksandar Vulin is a well-deserved assessment of continuous efforts aimed at comprehensive development of Russian-Serbian relations and cooperation between the special services of Russia and Serbia.
At the same time, Naryshkin stressed his personal appreciation for Aleksandar Vulin as a true Serbian patriot and a responsible leader who, with all his power, knowledge and experience, in a devoted way, serves the country of Serbia, and his service.
Director Naryshkin emphasized that dedication to the goal, high organizational skills and firm belief in the correctness of the work he is doing enable Aleksandar Vulin to successfully and fruitfully confront contemporary challenges and threats in the common interest of the Serbian and Russian people in the complex and sometimes dramatic conditions of the international scene.
