Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that he hopes that the new Government of Serbia will be formed by March 15, and that the constituent session of the Serbian National Assembly can be expected from February 1.

"As far as the government is concerned, I really hope that it will be formed by March 15. As for the Assembly, you know that the deadline is one month from when the results are announced - I think the last day is the 10th, 11th or 12th. From the first I expect the constituent session of the Assembly of Serbia in February," Vucic said at a press conference in Skopje, where he is participating in the "Western Balkans and the EU" gathering, reports Tanjug.

He added that it is important, because Serbia must react quickly and make numerous legal decisions, numerous legal norms related to the EXPO event as well as the growth plan that was presented two days ago.

"That is of crucial importance for us. Now there is a race between what we have to do in order to reach that growth, so that we can achieve everything that we talked about. That's why we are in a hurry. In a few days, we are installing foundations for EXPO.

So, the preparatory work is being done, it's being done for about seven to eight months. We'll go in seven to eight days when it's ready to install the first foundations and that's where EXPO starts," Vucic stressed.
