Serbia gripped by frost: minus 20 degrees in "Serbian Siberia", more similar weather forecast for the night

In all of Serbia, temperatures were below zero this morning, at 7 o'clock the coldest was Sjenica, with minus 20 degrees Celsius.

Pozega and Kursumlija followed with minus 12, then Valjevo, with 11 degrees below zero.

The warmest was Belgrade with minus 3 degrees, and then Nis, Zrenjanin, Novi Sad, Leskovac, with minus 4.

According to RHMZ, at the beginning of the week there will be moderate, locally strong morning frosts.

"Moderate frost is expected today in most of Serbia, and in the central, southern and eastern regions locally severe, from -11 to -4 °C, while on Tuesday moderate to severe frost is expected in the southwest, south and east of Serbia. Due to the melting of the snow during the day and the freezing of wet surfaces at night, ice is also expected," said Serbia's official meteorological service.
