Milicevic: Elections were clean as a whistle, SNS and SPS partnership in interest of citizens
"It's important that we have continuity when we talk about political stability. And that we have continuity in terms of politics, that Serbia goes forward, that it goes on the path of prosperity, progress, growth and development," Milicevic said
SPS official and Minister without Portfolio Djordje Milicevic said today that the elections held on December 17 were as "clean as a whistle" and assessed that the strategic and long-term partnership between the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) is in the best interest of citizens.
Asked whether talks between the parties are currently taking place and what is happening with the formation of a new Serbian government, Milicevic told Tanjug that the only important thing for him is that the election process in the country is over and that it is known that the absolute winner is the (SNS-led) list "Aleksandar Vucic - Srbija Must not Stop."
"The elections were clean as a whistle, it is known that the absolute winner in these elections is the list of Aleksandar Vucic. Of course, the Serbian Progressive Party now, as someone who has received the most trust from the citizens, should initiate the conversation," said Milicevic.
He added that the position of the SPS regarding cooperation with the SNS is completely clear and that the strategic and long-term partnership between the two parties is in the best interest of citizens, as well as that the SPS is always ready to contribute to political stability in Serbia.
"It's important that we have continuity when we talk about political stability. And that we have continuity in terms of politics, that Serbia goes forward, that it goes on the path of prosperity, progress, growth and development," Milicevic said.
