Ratko Lazovic, who was found dead yesterday around noon in the family home in the village of Branesci near Uzice, was killed, as the MUP announced, by a stab in the back delivered with a sharp object. His wife Mirjana, with whom he had five children, has been arrested as a suspect in his murder.

According to unofficial information, the murder took place in front of the two youngest children.

The locals have only words of praise for him, while they say that she was more unpleasant and was often not around, that she worked in Zlatibor and that the children were looked after by the grandparents, that is, Ratko's parents.

"He worked as a veterinarian, he visited all the houses, we all knew him. He was wonderful. His parents were teachers. His mother Dina took care of the grandchildren, his father drove the eldest ones to school all the time, while she (the mother) lived her own life. They had problems like any family, there were quarrels like in any family, but no one suspected that this would happen.

They all live in one house, Ratko's parents are downstairs, they are upstairs. Terrible, well, the whole village is shocked. They wanted for nothing, they had everything. Poor children. But, thank God, at least his parents are there to take them over, so they don't have to be given up for adoption," the locals told Telegraf.
