Court sentences Serbian Army captain who raped his minor daughter to life in prison
During the trial and decision making, the public was excluded
The panel of the Higher Court in Leskovac found S.S., a captain serving in the Serbian Army, guilty of raping his minor daughter from November 2019 until May 2022, and sentenced him to life in prison.

According to a statement, when deciding on the type and measure of the punishment, the court took into account numerous aggravating circumstances related to the manner and timeframe of the commission of the crime, the personality of the accused, the lack of empathy, the severity of the consequences of the crime, and concluded that there are no mitigating circumstances.
"The court found that such a verdict influences other citizens to refrain from committing such and similar heinous crimes," reads the statement signed by the president of the Higher Court in Leskovac, Nebojsa Stojicic.
During the trial and decision making, the public was excluded.
