He was arrested yesterday in Turkey on charges of double murder
Ljupco "Palco" Palevski, the main suspect in the double murder of Vanja Gorcevska from Skopje and Palco Zezevski from Veles, was arrested yesterday in Turkey.
As the investigation showed, Palevski was driven from Skopje to Serbia by his lawyer in a Skoda, and left at the hotel.
From there, the next day, another person from Skopje drove him to Bulgaria in a Range Rover, which they entered through the Gradina border crossing.
From there the person took him to Turkey, North Macedonia Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski told a press conference.
"In Turkey, he goes to the city of Balikesir and our services from the Department of International Police Cooperation get in touch with their operational source, who in a very short time gave feedback that the person was in Balikesir," he said.
According to Spasovski, Palevski pretended that he wanted to go to Istanbul by taxi, but he stayed in Balikesir.
Turkish police arrested him while he was walking along one of the highways around Balikesir.
Palevski was arrested in the capital of the administrative district of the same name in western Turkey that borders two seas, and the city is located about 280 kilometers from the largest Turkish city of Istanbul.
Balikesir is a city with about 330,000 inhabitants, the province of the same name faces the Sea of Marmara and the Aegean Sea, borders the provinces of Bursa and Canakkale, and is located between the cities of Izmir and Bursa.
