Five persons holding dual citizenship, Serbian and Palestinian, have left the Gaza Strip, Blic has learned.

They are a mother and her four children, who first left the Gaza Strip for a safe area in Egypt, and then continued to Serbia.

Five people have been rescued thanks to coordinated activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, the Serbian embassies in Tel Aviv and Cairo, and the authorities of Israel and Egypt.

On October 7, the Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a large-scale surprise rocket attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip and broke through the border, killing around 1,200 people and abducting more than 200 others in neighboring Israeli communities.
