The European Union's special envoy for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, announced today that he held separate meetings with US ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier and other diplomatic representatives in so-called Kosovo, as well as with the KFOR command and representatives of the opposition in Pristina.

Lajcak stated that he discussed with them the latest developments in the dialogue and the next steps.

"Had a very productive day in Kosovo today with good exchanges on latest developments in the EU-facilitated dialogue and the way ahead. Grateful to all my interlocutors for their active role and support," Lajcak said in a post on X.

The EU's special envoy for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina arrived on Monday on an unannounced two-day visit to Pristina, where he met with officials of Pristina's provisional institutions.

European Union spokesman Peter Stano told Tanjug that Lajcak plans to visit Belgrade soon to discuss the next steps.
