Police in Novi Pazar today arrested a fellow officer I. M. (36) on suspicion of abuse and torture, as well as E.B. (34) from Novi Pazar (his victim), who is suspected of inciting national, racial and religious hatred and intolerance.

I.M. and another man who has not yet been found are suspected of hitting TikToker Emir Bjelak several times, in a hospitality venue in Novi Pazar. The incident happened on October 31, and then a video got posted on social networks.

Although this incident was not reported, immediately upon learning about the footage, the local police took all measures and actions within their jurisdiction and questioned both I.M. and E.B. - the latter claiming that the two had agreed to stage this fight in order to publish it on social networks.

E. B. is suspected of, before getting beaten, insulting people (Serbs). who watched a video of his on a social network, on ethnic grounds.

Previously, in October, the police filed a criminal complaint against I.M., on the order of the competent prosecutor's office, on suspicion that he had committed the criminal offense of fraud, so he was temporarily suspended from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

By order of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Pazar, I.M. was detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought to the prosecutor's office along with a criminal complaint.

E.B. was also detained for up to 48 hours, by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, the Special Public Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime, and will be brought to the prosecutor's office, along with a criminal complaint.
