Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic held a briefing in Brussels today on the topic of EU membership, when she says she informed her audience about the current reforms in Serbia, but also about the latest developments in Kosovo and Metohija.

"I started my working day in Brussels, where I held a briefing at the European Policy Center on the topic of membership in the European Union in the new era and Serbia's perspective. I informed numerous members of civil society and non-governmental organizations in Brussels about Serbia's European path and current reforms. I also informed everyone in detail about the latest developments in Kosovo in Metohija, as well as about the overall security situation during the last two years. Violence and repression against Serbs and other non-Albanian population in Kosovo and Metohija is unacceptable," wrote the prime minister.

She stressed that in many aspects, Serbia is already as ready as the EU member states that joined during the last round of the bloc's enlargement.

"I know how hard we have worked, how much we achieved and what we will do in the time ahead. In many aspects, Serbia is already as ready as the EU member states that were admitted during the last enlargement. Everything we did, we did for our citizens and with the aim of improving their standard of living, not just to meet the norms for admission to the EU. The journey is sometimes just as important as the destination itself, so I hope that all the reforms we have implemented will be recognized in the right way," she wrote.
