President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said last night that he does not believe that there will be any sanctions against citizens of Serbia, and if someone wants to take any measures, they will take them supposedly against him personally.

Vucic said this on Prva TV in response to a question of whether there is a reason for Serbian citizens to fear war and sanctions, and commented that the whole world is dealing with the situation in Israel today.

"I think that people in Serbia don't need to worry, I believe that we will manage to preserve peace thanks to the strength of our state and Army. If the Army was weaker we would not have had peace for a long time already, instead many would have been taking actions against us," said Vucic.

He added that he does not believe that there will be sanctions against citizens.

"If someone wants to take any measures, because I see that there is a big rush both from the country and from abroad, they will take them supposedly against me personally, so people don't have to worry, they won't feel anything in terms of visas or as far as the standard of living is concerned, nor anything else," said Vucic.
