The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Nis announced that after collecting all the relevant evidence, it was determined that the 13-year-old boy A.S. was killed by his peer M.M. in а house in Niska Banja, and added that M.M. cannot be held criminally responsible, because he has not reached the age of 14.

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Nis was informed that on October 5, around 11 am, the body of A.S. (13) was found in a house in Niska Banja.

The on-duty public prosecutor from the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Nis conducted an investigation at the scene of the incident and ordered all actions to be taken to gather evidence, in order to shed light on the circumstances under which the event took place.

After gathering all the relevant evidence, it was determined that A.S. was killed by M.M., according to the Prosecutor's Office, RTS is reporting.

According to the Law on Juvenile Offenders and the Criminal-Legal Protection of Minors, M.M. is not criminally responsible, because he has not reached the age of 14.

In accordance with the provisions of the said law, the Center for Social Welfare Nis, as a guardianship body, was informed about the events, in order to take measures within its jurisdiction, a statement added.
