The KFOR mission announced today that the so-called Kosovo police informed them about the arrest of three Kosovo Serbs only a day after it happened.

In a statement delivered to Tanjug, KFOR recalled the statement of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that there is a need for coordination and close consultation between the authorities in Pristina and KFOR for any deployment that may affect security in Kosovo.

"He also made it clear that we expect timely and meaningful consultations on any action by the Kosovo Security Forces or the Kosovo police that could affect the security environment," the statement said.

According to the KFOR commander, Major General Angelo Ristuccia, he remains in regular contact with the so-called by the Kosovo police and EU's EULEX mission - "in accordance with the procedure for prior coordination already agreed between these entities."
