Lajcak: We hoped for better outcome of dialogue, situation in Kosovo to be discussed with US and EU partners

EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak has stated that they had hoped for a better outcome of the dialogue in Brussels (last week) and that the situation in Kosovo will be the subject of upcoming strategic talks with US and EU partners.
Summarizing the previous week, Lajcak posted on Facebook that they had hoped for a better outcome of the meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti as part of the high-level dialogue in Brussels, writes Kosovo-online.com.
"The state of play in the dialogue, together with the tense situation in the north of Kosovo will be a subject of upcoming strategic discussions with our US and European partners to determine our next steps," he wrote.
Recalling that after the high-level meeting he addressed ambassadors of the EU member states in Brussels, he expressed his gratitude for their interest in the dialogue and their strong support.
He added that he also met with Director of Political Affairs and External Relations of the Council of Europe Miroslav Papa, whom he informed about the dialogue.
"I appreciate the interesting exchange about the developments in the Council of Europe and the confirmation of our continuous cooperation in promoting European standards in the Western Balkans," concluded Lajcak.
