President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic published today a photo of the Serbian flag and congratulated Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag, which Serbia and the RS mark as a joint holiday.

"Serbian, Happy Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and National Flag", was the caption to a photo of the Serbian flag, which Vucic posted on the Instagram account "avucic".

Vucic also congratulated citizens of Serbia on the occasion of the holiday from Budapest last night.

"We must celebrate our flag, our red-blue-and-white tricolor, our ancestors who left us our homeland, so that we can appreciate the future of our descendants, for whom we are doing everything," wrote the president of Serbia.

Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and National Flag will be marked today with a central event in Nis, that will, according to announcements, be attended by President Vucic.

The Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and National Flag holiday is celebrated on the anniversary of the Salonica (Macedonian) front breakthrough in 1918, based on a decision of the governments of the Republic of Serbia and the Serb Republic (RS) to jointly celebrate this date.
