Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija harassed on daily basis: Djuric meets with Escobar to discuss dialogue process
"Violent pressure on Serbs and an attempt to create discord between Belgrade and its partners in the EU and the US is the only policy of Albin Kurti"
Serbia's Ambassador to the US Marko Djuric has met with the US special envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, with whom he discussed the "daily harassment to which the Serb community in Kosovo and Metohija is exposed" as well as the dialogue process between Belgrade and Pristina.
"We discussed the dialogue process between Belgrade and Pristina, as well as plans for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Serbia and the US in all areas. During the meeting, I particularly pointed out to the daily harassment to which the Serb community in Kosovo and Metohija is exposed.
Discriminatory, undemocratic and often violent pressure on Serbs, and an attempt to create discord between Belgrade and its partners in the EU and the US is the only policy of Albin Kurti," Djuric wrote on the X social network.
He stressed that such a policy has no future.
"Belgrade remains firmly committed to peace, cooperation and a policy of the future," Djuric concluded.
