"Also, I would like to congratulate all the athletes who participated in the World Championship, we had three finals, our Angelina came seventh, she, like Adriana, did her work in Jerusalem, when they won the gold medal at the European Junior Championship.

Although a junior, this is the first year of her senior junior career and to finish seventh at the World Championship amid extremely strong competition, that's worthy of applause for Angelina. Also, Sinancevic reached the final, he had never faced such competition and took ninth place."

The head of Serbian athletics also spoke about other medal winners in junior competition.

"I want to praise and congratulate Teodora Boberic and Aleksandrija Mitrovic, who won medals at the European Junior Championship. Teodora won the silver medal and Aleksandrija won bronze. Congratulations to the coaches. What I want to add is that athletics is making big strides, we have never had more talented athletes and I am sure that at some future point everyone will be pleasantly surprised by the results in big junior and senior competitions," said Jevrosimovic.
