The US ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, told Telegraf.rs on Thursday that he is not surprised by the allegations about the plane crash death of Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.

"As President Biden said, I'm not surprised. I don't have much to add," he told us during the marking of 32 years of Ukraine's independence in Belgrade.

At the same time, he added that everyone must become aware of Russian brutality and stand with Ukraine, stating that this is the time when they need the world the most.

He also told us that it is difficult to predict the future moves of the warring parties, but that it is clear that the Ukrainian people are ready to fight.

"I also think that it is clear that the world is united in helping them. I have never seen the US and Europe as close as they are today. Ukraine is even bringing Serbia and the US closer to each other," said Hill.
