Father has police record, son served in Foreign Legion: The suspects in abduction of German in Belgrade
The investigation is ongoing
The Belgrade police, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, have arrested father and son N.V. (57) and Z.V. (33) under suspicion that they had abducted a German citizen (33) in Zemun, Belgrade.
They are currently detained by the police for up to 48 hours.
As Telegraf.rs has learned, the father has a long criminal record while the son served in the (French) Foreign Legion.
Together with another person now under arrest, they managed to lure the German into a car, and then demand a ransom of 35,000 euros from his girlfriend.
Instead of the money, she sent them the police.
They were arrested in a Volkswagen at the Sid toll booth.
The German was found tied up in the trunk of the car.
He said that he was not hurt and thanked our police.
