President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today that he had a very polite conversation with President of Ukraine Volodimir Zelensky, reports Tanjug.

He added that the statements made by the rapporteur of the European Parliament for Kosovo, Viola von Cramon, about that meeting and the alleged discussion about weapons, are proof of her hatred of Serbia, of the independent and freedom loving policy that the country leads.

"I talked with Zelensky about everything, including the situation on the battlefield and the EU path, and we exchanged experiences about Kosovo and Metohija and the territorial integrity of Ukraine and everything that concerns us. I had a very decent and fair conversation with Zelensky," Vucic said after handing over the keys to 250 apartments to refugees and displaced persons from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, when asked if he had discussed weapons with Zelensky, and regarding Von Cramon's allegation that he blackmailed Zelensky not to recognize Kosovo and said he would give him weapons in return.

Vucic said that Von Cramon is a famous friend of our opposition champions, for whom the most important thing is only when Ukraine will recognize Kosovo.

"You speak as if Vucic is a minion, a bellboy, and then Viola von Cramon, whom you bring to beat us on the head with a hammer, who tricked us into not digging up our white gold (apparent reference to lithium) so that our people would be poor... says that Vucic is a world superpower which puts pressure on Ukraine," the president said.

He added that there is no power in the world that can influence Ukraine, but, according to Von Cramon, Serbia and Aleksandar Vucic can.

"If it wasn't funny, it would be sad. It's a testament to how much she hates Serbia for the independent, freedom-loving and self-reliant policy of Serbia," said Vucic.

He asked journalists if they remember what he said when various people began to comment and say - it's over, Ukraine will recognize Kosovo, the Ukrainian head of the foreign policy committee announced it...

"I told you that it is a little different when you talk to the one who really has to make decisions, which is Zelensky. Did I tell you right away that he is much smarter than those who proposed it - he looks at the position of Ukraine - he knows what he needs to do," said Vucic.

The president assessed that the conversation they had was polite, but that he regrets not mentioning Von Cramon and that he will do so next time, because he does not want Zelensky to repeat his own mistakes.

"I will tell him, when such people come to him - when you have to receive them, first they will lecture to you about corruption, and then they will first ask you for raw materials. When they ask you for rights over your raw materials, and at the same time conduct campaigns against you so they can use those raw materials, but you can't, kick them out. That would be my advice to him. I was stupid and didn't do it in time," said Vucic.
