President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic attended late on Sunday a ceremony in Budapest to celebrate Hungary's Statehood Day.
"I am honored and grateful to Hungarian President Katalin Novak and Prime Minister Viktor Orban for the invitation to attend the ceremony of the celebration of Hungary's Statehood Day. I am proud of our friendship and cooperation!," Vucic wrote on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav."
The president of Serbia previously announced in a video message that he was satisfied with the content of yesterday's talks with numerous world leaders who gathered in Budapest and expressed great gratitude to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for his hospitality.
He said that it was also truly lucky that he in Budapest to witness "the winning of the first gold in the history of Serbia at a world athletics championships" - referring to best Serbian track and field athlete Ivana Vuleta's achievement.
