Here's what Novak Djokovic earned so far by reaching round of 16 in Cincinnati
The Serbian also got more ATP points and a part of the prize money
Novak Djokovic has advanced to the round of 16 of the ATP tournament in Cincinnati, although he probably did not expect to do so after less than an hour, as Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina withdrew from the match with a back injury.
The Serbian tennis player thus found a place among the top 16 in the tournament on his return to the US after two years. His opponent in the fight for the quarterfinals will be Gael Monfils.
Although the victory was not achieved in two sets, Novak of course has all the benefits of placing in the next round of the tournament in Cincinnati - from earning points to prize money.
By placing in this stage of the competition, Djokovic won another 90 points in the ATP ranking, so now he has a total of 8,885.
The most Novak can get after this tournament is the sum of 9,795 points, which could potentially put him at the top of the ATP list if he takes the title. But, in that case, Carlos Alcaraz must be eliminated before the final.
As for the cash fund, Djokovic has so far pocketed 88,805 US dollars, and will be able to increase that as well if he continues to win.
