Nermin Sulejmanovic committed a monstrous triple murder in Gradacac, Bosnia-Herzegovina, today, and he broadcast the first, the killing of his wife, live on Instagram. He committed suicide later in the day.

In 2013, Sulejmanovic was arrested as a member of a large drug gang led by Emir Kodzag. Over the years, he got arrested many times and has had criminal complaints filed against him.

However, instead of being in prison, Sulejmanovic was present in the public space as a bodybuilder and fitness coach, and was even makig statements for many media outlets.

The violence and the criminal life of Sulejmanovic apparently lasted for decades.Iin 2012, a complaint against him dating back to 2006 for causing bodily harm to another person was dismissed by a court due to the statute of limitations.

The question that arises now, is whether this monstrous crime could have been avoided if the state had adequately sanctioned this violent person in time.
