Rama hosts prime ministers from the region, instead of Kurti, Bislimi is going to the meeting
The meeting is being held as part of preparations for the Summit of the Berlin Process, which has been announced for October 16 in Tirana
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama will today in Tirana host the leaders from the region, as well as EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Oliver Varhelyi, at an informal meeting. According to Pristina media, instead of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, his deputy Besnik Bislimi will attend the meeting in Tirina, reports Kosovo-online.com.
Rama announced the meeting with the prime ministers from the region a few days ago, during his "Balkan tour."
The meeting is being held as part of preparations for the Summit of the Berlin Process, which has been announced for October 16 in Tirana.
As announced, the purpose of the meeting is to discuss and coordinate, develop joint demands, and present them at the October summit, which is expected to be attended by the leaders of the European Union.
However, Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti will not attend the informal meeting, which further confirms that there is a "chill" in relations between Rama and Kurti, writes Pristina based Reporteri.
Instead of Kurti, who is in Greece where he will participate in the 25th edition of the "SIMI" International Symposium, the informal meeting of leaders in Tirana will be attended by his deputy, Besnik Bislimi.
Participation in the meeting in Tirana was confirmed by Prime Minister of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovacevski, Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic, Acting Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazovic, as well as President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Kristo.
