A very ugly scene was seen during the match between Novak Djokovic and Cameron Norrie today, when the Briton made an inappropriate move, hitting Nole with the ball after the Serbian had already given up on the point and turned his back away.

Norrie had a sitter on the net, he could choose where to hit the ball on the court, but his choice was to hit Djokovic directly in the leg while his back was turned to him.

Novak instantly looked back with an angry expression on his face. He couldn't believe what Norrie had done.

The Brit raised his hand as a sign of an apology, but it seems that Novak seriously resented the gesture that could have ended up injurying the Serbian ace.

In the end, Djokovic defeated Norrie 2-0 (6-3, 6-4) and qualified for the Rome quarterfinals.

After the game was over, Novak did shake Norrie's hand at the net, but without saying anything and without making eye contact, which is very unusual for him. Nor did he applaud his opponent as he was leaving the court - also something that Novak has always done before, throughout his illustrious career.
