Petkovic, Bislimi and Lajcak meet: "Difficult situation, Bislimi's behavior is scandalous"
"Bislimi did not want to give specific answers to some questions and tried to make the conversation pointless with various interruptions," Petar Petkovic said
The director of the Office for Kim Petar Petkovic said last night, after a new round of dialogue in Brussels, that the situation is difficult when it comes to the dialogue, and that the behavior of Pristina's chief negotiator, Besnik Bislimi, was scandalous.
After the trilateral meeting with the chief negotiator of Pristina, Besnik Bislimi, with the mediation of the EU's special envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, he said that Belgrade came to the meeting prepared, with experts and proposals, all the materials, reports Tanjug.
"Unlike Bislimi, who came alone and who, when he was supposed to discuss important issues, such as the formation of the ZSO (Community of Serb Municipalities), the issue of missing persons, freedom of movement, issues related to life, the institutional violence carried out by (Albin) Kurti, Bislimi did not want to provide specific answers and tried to make the conversation pointless with various interruptions," said Petkovic.
According to him, the issue of energy was also discussed at the meeting, however, Bislimi told everyone that Petkovic was "talking nonsense." As an example, he cited the "rejection of an RTS journalist who was recently not allowed to enter Kosovo and Metohija" and whose request Bislimi, according to Petkovic, took and threw on the floor.
"He is not interested in anything and he wants to stage a conversation, to make it look like he is participating in the dialogue, but we have come to the point, as Vucic also said, where they do not want to form the ZSO. When I say the ZSO, he says he doesn't know what it is. Mr. Expert claims that he knows all the topics, but he has not read the four basic agreements on the ZSO, that it is a mechanism that should ensure individual and collective rights for Serbs," said Petkovic.
As he says, Bislimi and Kurti behave alike.
"They are grasping at little things to postpone solving the issue of the missing. When I repeated our request to Bislimi to resolve the request regarding freedom of movement and license plates, he did not want to talk. I don't know how to talk further, we want normalization, primarily for the sake of the Serbs. It is important to save the lives of our people,"he said.
According to Petkovic, normalization means normalization of life in the field, and Bislimi did not want to talk about it.
"When you mention (UNSC) Resolution 1244, he jumps up like somebody poured hot water over him, and wants to solve the issue of the ZSO based on letters, decisions of the constitutional court and all that. When it suits him, he reads some article (of the agreement), when it doesn't suit him, he plays dumb. He is delaying solving the issue of the missing, even though I asked for Odalovic to enter the meeting room. It's a difficult situation and I'm worried about how things will turn out. We will do everything to preserve the peace, even though Bislimi wanted to make us react a certain way.
Compromise must happen, and that is a forbidden word for Pristina," said Petkovic.
