The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), related to to the call to hand in unregistered weapons and ammunition, is informing citizens that apart from doing this in person, they can also contact the nearest police station and ask police officers to come and collect weapons and explosive devices and take them over.

Citizens can hand in unregistered weapons, ammunition and explosive devices without leaving their homes, by calling the nearest police station, which will send a patrol to a given address and collect the weapons.

The MUP said that during the period of collection of unregistered weapons, until June 8, citizens who turn them in will not be subject ti any criminal liability and consequences, nor will they have to prove the origin of the weapons or provide any documentation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is calling on citizens to respond to the campaign by June 8, either in person or by calling the police for officers to come and collect unregistered weapons, hand over illegal weapons, ammunition and explosive devices.

Citizens are able to do so every day from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, whether these are weapons that by law cannot be in possession of citizens (automatic rifles and mine and explosive devices), as well as all types of semi-automatic firearms.

Therefore, you can bring them to the police station as before, and if for any reason you do not want or cannot do that, you can call the nearest police station and a patrol will come to an address to pick them up, you are not any obligation to provide your personal information if you choose not to.
