Serb Republic declares day of mourning because of Belgrade school massacre

The tragedy that happened yesterday at the Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School in Belgrade, when a 7th grader shot and killed eight students and a security guard, is the reason Friday will be a day of mourning in the RS, the government decided during an unscheduled session held in Banja Luka, reports RTRS.
Yesterday, after this unprecedented crime, the government of the Republic of Serbia also declared three days of mourning in the country, from Friday until Sunday.
Eight elementary school students and a security guard were killed in the mass shooting in the Vladislav Ribnikar school in Belgrade's central Vracar municipality.
In addition, six students and a teacher have been wounded and are treated in the capital's clinics.
The shooter, a minor, and his father have both been detained.
Last night, citizens lit candles and laid flowers in front of the school, as well as in Belgrade's Cvetni Trg (square).
The victims were also honored in vigils held in other cities across Serbia.
