Serbian Minister of Education Branko Ruzic said that the responsibility for Wednesday's school tragedy rests with all of us together, reports RTS.

"This case is incomparable to other cases, we cannot return the (murdered) children to their parents," said the minister.

Ruzic said that Wednesday's tragedy in the Vladislav Ribnikar elementary school in Belgrade is one of the biggest tragedies that has befallen the state and the education system in recent history.

"The responsibility is with all of us together and this is a case that in some way resembles those cases that happen in some Western societies, but also in Crimea, Asia, Australia and that is the so-called the copycat mantra they apply, but this is the first time something like that has happened in our country," said Ruzic.

He thanked the teachers who tried to defend the children, as well as the health workers who are treating the wounded.
