"I survived by laying next to dead classmate": Bloodied, a boy ran to his mom shouting, "He killed them all"
He was saved from certain death when he lay down next to his dead friend during the shooting
"I lay down next to my dead friend. I also pretended to be dead. That's how I saved myself."
These terrible words, filled with pain, were uttered by an elementary school student who was in the horror classroom, and survived Wednesday's mass shooting in a school in Belgrade's Vracar municipality.
As his mother tells Telegraf, he was a friend of the student K.K. (14) who is suspected of committing the horrific crime early in the morning by killing eight of his schoolmates and a security worker in the Vladislav Ribnikar school.
"My son was in the classroom when K.K. opened fire on them. He escaped certain death when he lay down next to his dead friend during the shooting. He lay down next to her and pretended to be dead. When he longer heard any shots, he jumped out of the window, all covered in blood, and came home, where he told me, 'He killed them all'," the mother of the survivor recounts.
The boy is still in a state of shock because of the terrible crime he witnessed, the kind unheard of in our regions.
K.K. attacked his own classmates.
Early this morning, a crime unprecedented in our parts took place in the premises of the elementary school Vladislav Ribnikar in Vracar, when 14-year-old boy K.K. shot and killed nine people, eight of them his fellow students.
