If we ask Spanish journalists, Partizan basketballer Kevin Punter could become the first foreigner in history to play for the Serbian national team.

After the American scored with less than a second left until the end of the game to give Partizan a win against Real Madrid in Madrid, the newspaper Marca started writing about how he could soon find himself on the Eagles' roster.

"He could change the history of Serbia, which is a huge sporting and basketball power," writes the Spanish press.

They say that Punter, who is originally from the Bronx, has a Serbian passport and is willing to play for Serbia if he receives an invitation from head coach Svetislav Pesic.

"I have a special connection with Serbia. I like it. I have the passport and have heard about the possibilities. If I'm called up, I am open to that option," said Punter.
