Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) General Manager Zvezdan Terzic announced recently that the Serbian football champions need strong opponents during the summer preparations, in order to see where the team stands before the group stage of the Champions League!

And it seems that they have found those rivals, because the Russian media, specifically Sport Express, claim that Red Star will participate in a strong tournament along with Zenit and Fenerbahce, set to be held at the end of June or the beginning of July.

In addition to the three clubs, a fourth from Russia will also participate, i.e. it will be one of the top eight clubs in the country.

Red Star will start the next Serbian SuperLiga season in the second half of July, likely on the 21st. In the meantime, they will have preparations in the first half of the same month.

During the summer of last year, Red Star was also in Russia, where they played against Zenit in Sochi and lost 1-2.
