Greek president's message for Serbia: There's pressure but it doesn't affect our stance on Kosovo and Metohija
Respect for international law is important for us, and during the meeting I confirmed how important it is to work on compromise solutions with Pristina
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that Serbia and Greece have confirmed their commitment and support to the principles of UN resolutions and territorial integrity.
After a meeting with President of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou and after a plenary meeting of delegations of Serbia and Greece, he said that, just as Greece supports our territorial integrity, Serbia also supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Hellenic state both on land and on water.
"The position of Greece concerning Kosovo and Metohija remains unchanged and stable," Sakellaropoulou, whose country doesn't recognize Kosovo, said, and added that "there is always pressure, but that has not affected our stance on Kosovo and Metohija."
"I thank the president and the prime minister for supporting the territorial integrity. Respect for international law is important to us, and during the meeting I confirmed how important it is to work on compromise solutions with Pristina," Vucic said.
He stressed that he thanked the Greek president for supporting Serbia on its European path and for trying to help. "I believe that in the coming period we can achieve further progress in the economy as well," he said.
He said he was happy to host the Greek delegation. "Serbia and Greece have more than traditional, sisterly and brotherly relations - our peoples understand each other well, and politicians are only following what people have felt for a long time. Today we also analyzed the political situation in the region of Southeast Europe, in the world, bilateral and economic relations, opportunities further cooperation", he stressed.
At the end of his address, Vucic said that he was grateful for the position expressed by the president.

"I believe that this year we will be at one billion euros, and that is only the exchange of goods and services is at 1.446 billion euros, and we believe that there is an opportunity to increase the number of Serbian tourists in Greece," Vucic said today at a joint press conference with the president of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
Vucic also said that more than 50 percent of Serbian tourists go to Greece on vacations, and not only to the north, but a significant part goes to Athens, the Peloponnese, Crete and the islands.
He added that Serbia wants to attract more tourists from Greece to the country, as well as to develop cooperation in other spheres.
