A new attack on the Slavic family in Lipljan, whose home was broken into last night for the fifth time, has brought unease and fear among the Serbs living in the central part of Kosovo and Metohija. It was only by sheer coincidence that the thieves did not manage to cause more material damage.

Our municipal representatives from Lipljan and Gracanica got in touch with the Slavic family after learning about the unpleasant event, and will visit them today and discuss how they can be of help, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced.

The ever more frequent attacks on Serb property in this part of Kosovo and Metohija once again show the necessity of better protection of the Serb community in central Kosovo and Metohija and adequate response and sanctioning of the perpetrators.

Serbs are not legitimate targets on any single basis and any attack on any Serb family must be treated with the utmost attention.
