A severe storm hit the Rovinj and Porec area in Croatia on Sunday evening. Heavy rain flooded many roads there, and in the very center of the city, water entered houses and business premises.

Due to an extremely strong storm, heavy rain and strong wind, the old town of Rovinj was flooded, and firefighters were on the ground from 2:48 am to 6:26 am and, according to information from the local fire brigade,they had as many as 21 interventions.

It was especially critical in Carera Street, which was completely under water.

Strong wind brought down trees - in the Carmelo neighborhood a large pine tree fell on three cars. The situation has calmed down in the meantime, and all emergency services are currently on the ground.

A storm in the night betweeen Sunday to Monday affected Porec and its surroundings as well, causing major material damage. Fortunately, there are no casualties.

According to the currently available information, the storm hit the center of the city the most, where the strong wind brought down trees and branches, and in several places lifted roofs, and damaged a number of stands.
