Vucic: "Europe's political map is changing, Ukraine is turning. This will affect Serbia as well"

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said that he expected a war to break out in Ukraine, that he understood it before the very beginning, but also that it is almost impossible for that country to win in this conflict.

Therefore urgent negotiations for EU membership will probably begin, and this will cause changes in the political map that will affect Serbia as well.

Vucic commented on TV Pink about the statement made by Christian Wehrschutz who said that he learned from the Serbian president two months before the start of the conflict that the war would begin in Ukraine.

"During our last meeting, the Russian president did not speak much about Ukraine, I understood what was coming," said Vucic.

"It's not a big secret, you could look up my statement from November 25, when I was in Sochi with Vladimir Putin. I said then that I expect that many difficult things are being prepared in the world. Not because Putin said anything like that to me, I know him well enough. I also understood what will happen in Ukraine," said the president, and added that Putin always talked a lot about Ukraine before, but didn't even speak for three minutes about it during that meeting.

Vucic stressed that changes in Europe are inevitable.

"I think that already in June, there must be a big momentum of Ukraine towards its European path, since it will not easily win in the military sense, I think that there will be urgent negotiations", he said.

According to him, the political map is changing in Europe, which will affect Serbia as well. That is, the dynamics of our relationship with Europe will change.

He added that the competition for the head of NATO is starting, as well as that the US is creating a separate bloc that is not small.

"There are limiting factors for us, namely sanctions against Russia, and Kosovo and Metohija. I think a lot more will happen in the meantime. Biden's act on reducing inflation, which is a stroke of genius, by which they forced companies from the EU to move to America, they will have a deal with Europe that it does not apply to European countries. The ywill take companies like Volkswagen and jobs. They will agree that this does not apply, but that (these countries) must implement measures towards China that America is also implementing," he said.

Invitation to military parade

Vucic said that his task is to try to save the country from war, but also to save all political principles.

"I want to use the opportunity to invite all citizens of Serbia on April 22, it will be the biggest presentation of everything that the Serbian Army has. We will show everything we have, there will be more than 1,500 pieces of equipment, you will be able to see everything, from Nora, CH 92, CH 95, everything we have aircraft-wise, FK3".

Regarding the comments that strawberries, onions or other vegetables are expensive, he said that in our country there is a need to always say something negative.

"You don't engage in politics without politics. They also said that I was crazy for talking about lithium. Everything could have flourished. Why didn't we do it? Because foreign services came to stop it".

Vucic said that he will soon go to Valjevo to open a Bizerba factory, stressing that many things should be opened this year.
