The Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Dr. Aleksandar Martinovic sent a congratulatory message to all women of Serbia on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day.

"Today's holiday is important, because today we celebrate women and their tireless struggle for equality and a better position in society, but they deserve our admiration and respect every other day of the year as well. Women are the embodiment of courage and strength, bearers of change and pillars of society. It is our obligation to work on their empowerment, because with strong women, the country is also strong," wrote Martinovic.

"In the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government, the majority of employees are women, and I am grateful to them for the self-sacrificing work and effort they put in every day to improve our public administration together and be at the service of the citizens.

The Government of Serbia will continue to fight for the equality of women in all spheres of public and private life, and to, following the vision of President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic, participate in building a modern, democratic state in which all citizens have equal rights. Dear ladies, happy March 8, International Women's Day!," said Martinovic.
