Eight Serbian firefighters from the specialist team trained to rescue people from debris left Novi Sad for Turkey last night.

They are part of a larger team of our rescuers on their way to Turkey from several cities in Serbia.
Our heroes were seen off last night by family members who wished them good luck.
They packed their equipment and headed for the airport where they caught a direct flight to Turkey.
Along with the other heroes, there was a special one, Zigi the dog, a Malinois, trained for work in such conditions and rescue under ruins.
