Rail tanks transporting phosphoric acid slip off tracks in Zajecar: Another accident on Serbian railways

Two rail ranks loaded with phosphoric acid slipped off the tracks at the Zajecar train station this morning, but there is no leakage or danger to people or the environment, the Srbija Kargo company announced.

As stated, two tanks loaded with phosphoric acid slipped off the rails at 08:40 today in Zajecar.
"During this extraordinary event, there were no leaks, nor fumes, and there is no danger to human life or the environment," the statement stresses.
It added that the freight train included 12 tanks, owned by the company Elixir, traveling from Prahovo in eastern to Sabac in western Serbia.
"The Joint Railway Commission for Investigation of Extraordinary Events on the Railway Infrastructure of Serbia and Srbija Kargo went to the scene, who will determine the cause of this accident. Passenger and freight train traffic at the Zajecar station has not been interrupted," said the statement.
