A search has been launched for Lidija M., the wife of Zoran M., who found a baby's body in a freezer last night.
The body was found in the house in Zemun, Belgrade, where she lived until May of last year, and where Zoran and their four children remained.
According to Zoran, normally only he and his wife would open the freezer.
"In the corner I saw a bundle in a towel and in several bags. I opened it, it looked like a baby to me. (Other) Children don't normally open the freezer, only the refrigerator. My wife and I used the freezer, the children didn't," he told Telegraf.
He reveale dthat he and his wife had disagreements. She was allegedly seeing other men.
"The wife, who has left, and I had disagreements, we have four children together... My wife hasn't lived here since May, and I've lived here since the house was built, for 60 or so years... I haven't been in contact with my wife, the last time we saw each other was at the notary's office when I needed a signature last summer so I could take my children to Montenegro," he said.
The baby's body has been sent for an autopsy, and toxicology tests will also be done, after which the gender, age, and cause of death will be revealed.
