Snow! "Spring" is over in Serbia
At 6 o'clock the temperature in some places was 3 degrees below zero degrees Celsius
Snow has finally fell in Serbia, putting an ent to an untimely "spring."
Belgrade woke up under a blanket of snow, and there was most of it in the settlements under Mt. Avala - Grocka, Lestani, Kaludjerica...
According to the RHMZ website, snow is also falling across the country: in Novi Sad, Sjenica, Pozega, Valjevo, Loznica, Zlatibor and the Pester Plateau.
At six o'clock it was coldest on Mt. Zlatibor, where the temperature was minus three degrees Celsius, and the warmest in Dimitrovgrad and Negotin in the east, where it was eight degrees.
Zero degrees were measured in Belgrade.
RHMZ said that during the morning in the southwest and west of the country, as well as in the greater part of the province of Vojvodina and central Serbia, snow will be falling to form a cover of up to 10 centimeters deep, more on the mountains of western and southwestern Serbia.
"It will rain in most of Banat and Pomoravlje, and this rain will gradually turn into snow, while it will rain in eastern and southern Serbia. In the area of Belgrade, snow and the formation of a snow cover of 4 to 8 centimeters is expected in the morning," the RHMZ's latest forecast reads.
The snow warning, which is valid from today until January 24, states that today, over the weekend and at the beginning of next week, it will snow in hills and mountains with the formation/increase of the depth of the snow cover by 15 to 40 centimeters, especially on the mountains.
