Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that Serbia does not allow participation and that it punishes all those taking part in hostilities outside the territory of Serbia.

Responding to a question about an ad by the Wagner Group inviting more Serbian volunteers, which was published by the RT Balkan.rs portal, Dacic said that he did not know what this was about, but that there are laws in Serbia.

"I don't know what this is about, but there are laws that define that Serbia does not allow participation and that it punishes all those who participate in war activities outside the territory of Serbia, and this applies to all sides, regardless of whether it is Russia, Ukraine,or Islamic State," Dacic said in response to journalists gathered at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Dacic also assessed today that Saturday's attack against Serb children in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a consequence of an anti-Serb atmosphere being created, and a campaign that has been conducted during all these years in many countries in the region.

"In order not to get into such situations, we have to be responsible for the publicly uttered words," Dacic said when asked by a journalist to comment on the incident.

It is important, he said, that everyone takes care not to create an anti-Serb atmosphere and that everyone condemns what is happening, so that the perpetrators of the crime are not left to believe that they did something that corresponds to the general mood.

Dacic also said that the biggest problem is if an atmosphere gets created where it is "logical" to attack Serbs.
