Suspected murderer of Ivana made a "mistake" that led the police to him: He left a small but crucial clue

Jetmir G. (24) is officially suspected of murdering Ivana Krivokapic (26) in Zvezdara, Belgrade, and one "mistake" betrayed him.

Namely, as Telegraf has learned, Ivana Krivokapic defended herself while the suspect strangled her with one hand and covered her nose with the other, and she scratched him on his face and body, so that his DNA remained under her fingernails.

"Ivana defended herself when he attacked her. She scratched him on the face and body and his DNA remained under her fingernails. It is suspected that he killed Ivana K., with whom he was in a relationship, on December 23, 2022, between 00:37 and 5:30," a source from the investigation of this case told us.

After intensive operational work by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade and the third department of the Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, the suspect in the murder of Ivana K. (26) that happeend in Belgrade on December 23, 2022, has been identified.

It is Jetmir G. (24), a citizen of Montenegro. After the police today submitted a criminal complaint with evidence, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade issued an order to conduct an investigation against Jetmir G., on suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of aggravated murder out of jealousy, for which the penalty is 10 years or life imprisonment.

The Prosecution proposed to the court that Jetmir G. should be placed into custody and that a warrant be issued for his arrest.

On the day of the murder, the suspect came to Ivana's apartment in Zvezdara, where he had been staying since December 11, 2022, and started an altercation with her.

Then he began to clamp his hands over her mouth and nose until she died. He then locked the apartment and took the key with him. It is suspected that he left the territory of Serbia by bus the same day.
