Baby has been left on a sidewalk in Kragujevac in the middle of the night: A passer-by found it

He immediately called the police

A passer-by found a pram with a baby in it on a sidewalk in the town of Kragujevac last night at around 2:45 am, writes ucentar.rs.

As reported by ucentar.rs, the citizen was walking along Zmaj Jovina Street in the direction of the University Clinical Center. He didn't expect to run into anything unusual, however, a baby carriage with a one-year-old baby in it was on the sidewalk in the immediate vicinity of the road.

According to ucentar.rs, this gave the man a considerable scare, he'd found a child left the street without parents or any sign that would indicate the reason why it was there.

When he saw that nobody was around, he immediately called the police.

Members of the Interior Ministry (MUP) Kragujevac quickly transferred the baby to the Kragujevac University Hospital in cooperation with an ambulance crew.

Fortunately, the infant is well. It has been examined by experts and has no injuries.

The procedure of handing the child over to a foster family is under way.
