Prime minister congratulates Christmas to citizens of Serbia

"My wish is that this Christmas marks the beginning of a year that will bring peace, tranquility and love to all of us," the prime minister's message reads

Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic has wished a merry Christmas to Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the believers who celebrate this most joyous Christian holiday according to the Julian calendar.

"The year behind us was marked by instability, numerous challenges and temptations for our country and all people. Therefore, I wish that this Christmas marks the beginning of a year that will bring peace, tranquility and love to all of us," the prime minister's message states.

"The most joyous Christian holiday is a symbol of strong faith in people, of goodness, and gives us strength and hope to overcome the challenges we face. I congratulate Christmas to you and wish that you spend the holiday with your families and loved ones."
