President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today sent his Christmas greetings to Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and all believers who celebrate Christmas according to the Julian calendar (on January 7).
"I sincerely congratulate Christmas, the holiday of the birth of Christ, to you, the clergy, the monastic community and all believers.
I wish that the holiday in which we always and again revive in ourselves the Christmas meeting of God and man in Christ, inspires and gathers you around the value of lasting peace, selfless love, wisdom, patience and perseverance, for the good of all the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian people as a whole.
Peace from God - Christ is born," the message states, according to the presidential press services, Tanjug reported.
